Does the T60 NMB keyboard withstand fast typing over time?

#1 Post by noranalyst » Sun Jan 19, 2014 4:27 pm

Hello, I enjoy from time to time to use the 10 Fast Fingers speed test on my T60, which I believe has an NMB keyboard. I wonder if it withstands the typing of short and/or long words in arbitrary order for hours at a time. I have also not found out if this keyboard is, by definition, a mechanical keyboard, comparable to the IBM Model M, which I have seen is used by some record-holders on that website. I would love to be able to type and type without having to worry about the keyboard.

You can type and type without having to worry about the keyboard.

It's not purely mechanical. There is a mechanical element (scissor switch), but it still relies on a membrane for the key to register.
