T60: 65 W vs. 90 W power-source safe?

The 65w PS came with a low spec t60 with integrated graphics, and the 90w PS came with a t60 with x1300 64mb graphics.

Is it ok if I use the 65W ps with the t60 with 64mb graphics? I'm using it for non video/cpu crunching applications so it should be safe?

I'm assuming that if the cpu is chugging along at idle that it is not pulling such high wattage from the 65w source so I won't be burning it out right?

I've read online of people who purchase the 65w power source and it burns out after a couple of months.

The 65W source is exclusively just for laptops with integrated graphics only.

It's perfectly fine to use the 65W with the higher-spec T60, especially if you're not using it for gaming or 3D-intensive tasks.

Using a 65W charger with a computer that normally pulls more just means it won't get the go-juice it would otherwise get, so it'll throttle itself to consume less power, especially when the 65W is also charging the battery at the same time. And yes, the 65W will be at capacity more often, so you can burn it out. Just make sure you don't have it crammed between couch cushions or something like that.
