T60 Replacement Fan better than lubricating old fan?

I have a new used T60 with a fan that's a little noisier than usual ( clicking sounds ). Although I've had good results in the past lubricating T60 fans ( sewing machine oil ), I'm wondering whether the experts out there think a good cleaning and lube job will restore an old OEM T60 fan so that it's at least as good as the <$5 ones you can order off of ebay.

Thanks as always.

Clicking sounds could be from a broken fan blade, or from the fan hitting the antenna wire(s).

Thanks, RBS. I don't think it's either of those two things b/c the sound is intermittent (when the fan is actually spinning). Do you have an opinion on those cheap ebay fans? Are they better than lubing an OEM fan? (This computer doesn't see a lot of action.)

Ebay is a crap shoot. Some items are obsulute junk while others are pretty good or even genuine OEM. I always saw lubricating a fan as a temporary fix (temporary can be a long time) where as if you replace with new, you can always resort to lubing....eventually.
