How long should Intel burn test be run for? Apparently the X9000 is better cooled in a Frankie my frame being slightly more compact.

Why not the t9500 instead the x9000? It runs cool over the t61 and is easy overclocked to 2,8 ghz with throttlestop whithout any problems.

Re: Intel X9000 for T61.
Interesting idea, I did not know the T9500 could be overclocked, something I have never done before, as I have the T9300 I doubt I would actually consider the T9500, I wanted the X9000 for bragging rights but it seems I have been talked out if the idea, still tempting though...

The truth is, that if you want the "bragging rigths" you have to install a quad-core as of todayrosebank wrote:Interesting idea, I did not know the T9500 could be overclocked, something I have never done before, as I have the T9300 I doubt I would actually consider the T9500, I wanted the X9000 for bragging rights but it seems I have been talked out if the idea, still tempting though...

A member of the German thinkpad-forum.de recently managed doing exactly this. If you can read German:QWERTY Andreas wrote:The truth is, that if you want the "bragging rigths" you have to install a quad-core as of today

quite impressive to have the skill to attempt such a feat, I sadly have no skill in attempting this, it does not seem worth the nightmare. lol but fairplay to the guy.
