nVidia ending Windows support for DX 10 GPUs in 2016 (T61/p)

All driver releases after Release 340 are dropping support for DX10 only GPUs. New driver features are not being added for these systems.

The Release 340 branch will receive bug fixes until April 1st, 2016, after that it will be abandoned.

It affects T61, T61p and T/Wx10 models.

Edit: after contacing nVidia support, they replied "There have not been any announcements regarding Linux." My guess is that the driver functions in Linux are stable enough to demand only low maintenance.

They say the last driver available now for Linux is 334.21. I don't see why they would think it's not worth to support those chips on Windows but keep Linux support, though you are correct.

Linux is not included, at least for now.

After contacing nVidia support, they replied "There have not been any announcements regarding Linux." My guess is that the driver functions in Linux are stable enough to demand only low maintenance.
