Hello,
I recently purchased a T60 from ebay for about 100$...bargain as it was in good shape...well, apart from the LCD screen which i successfully replaced. My only issue now is....I cant screw the base on...as i've mixed up which screws go where! It's like a jigsaw puzzle as a lot of the screws are different.
Could anyone offer any support or guidance on how I should tackle this?? Majority of screws are in but the few that are left don't fit the holes. I think i've put a lot in the wrong place.

Thanks!

Welcome to thinkpads.com!

The Thinkpad family comes with something called a Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM). It's a document that describes the features of the laptop and the major parts that go inside it. There are fairly detailed drawings and descriptions on what it takes to disassemble it and then put it back together. All screws are described (in diameter and length) so you know you're putting the right one in where it's supposed to go. In some cases in can be very damaging if you use the wrong screw (putting a longer one in a hole than originally used a shorter screw). You can download a free copy from here:

Please note that there are TWO different HMMs for the T60; one that has a "standard" screen and another that has a "widescreen" display.
