How to get Wake on LAN working for T60?

Wake on LAN is enabled in the BIOS, I believe it's that by default. I have v.2.27 BIOS on this T2400 machine, Type: 1951-44U. The machine is connected by ethernet to my Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 802.11b/g wireless router. I'd like to be able to have this T60 go into suspend (as by virtue of 20 minutes of no activity) and be wakened by a request for data from it by another computer on the network, either ethernet connected to the router or by wifi. Can I do this?

In the BIOS it notes that WOL will not work if there's a Hard Drive Password set. I don't remember setting one up. Does this mean that the machine can't have a Windows password? It's currently running Windows XP Professional, off the factory recovery disks.

Thanks for help!

The 'awake' computer needs to do more than send a request for data.
It has to send a 'Magic Packet' to wake up the suspended computer.
Lots of free programs - I've been using WOL - Magic Packet Sender for years.
