Pickuped a fleabay special for 19.99. Case is very rough, but it boots and loaded Vista fine.

It is odd in a few ways:
*Sticker is 2007-CTO. Bios is 2007-ZJZ
*It fires up to a brief flash of Lenovo but then goes to 2 different screen, one with a copy-rite "US Goverment"
* Thinkvantage Security screen then pops up
*Finally I have monkeyed with a few 2007-***, none of them would load Vista until I added the SLIC tables, this one took to it like a duck to water

Ideas?
Ron

T60 (2007-ZJZ)
Based on 2007-CTO: T2500(2GHz), 2GB RAM, 60GB 7200rpm HD, 15in 1400x1050 LCD, 128MB ATI Radeon X1400, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 6c Li-Ion, WinXP Pro

It obviously has a modded BIOS with either Slic2.0 (Vista) or Slic2.1 (Vista + W7)
And the Government may have added an image to that BIOS.
If you update the BIOS with a 'regular' (i.e. non-Government) modded BIOS, that Gov-screen should disappear.

It not a 15 inch, and the CPU is a 1.83 (T5600?), pulling the HS fan, it appears factory.

Odd, but it runs fine.

I noticed that the T60 BIOS update CD booter image uses the same program as IBM's Personal System/2 reference diskette images! Even the odd <F8> to continue, <F1> to display a help file (which was written in the .ADF) and so forth. Even the caution windows are still the same with the black on yellow.
When you boot a Personal System/2 model 95, it'll have some government copyright message on the main BIOS screen.

So maybe it's possible to enable that message on a T60. Just a guess anyways. IBM's had their dip with the T60 more than I first thought.

I went in and reloaded the defaults for the BIOS, then disabled the Security Chip settings. Now it boots normally, I guess Im going to leave it alone.
