ThinkPad T60p Windows 7 multiple monitor resolution problems

#1 Post by dhinged » Mon Apr 21, 2014 2:36 pm

I connect my laptop at home to a VGA 15" monitor with 1024x768 resolution but when I hibernate and connect it to my work dock with a DVI monitor at 1280x1024 it sets both monitors to 1024x768 as duplicated displays; I have to go into Screen Resolution each time and reset it.

Any fix for this?

Press Winkey+P and select whatever option you prefer (probably "Projector only"). It should pickup the resolution automatically...

OK thanks, that's quick at least. Any solution to get Windows 7 to just recognize (or remember) automatically what is there (or maximal resolutions)?
