Keyboard and mouse freezing on t60

#1 Post by ship69 » Mon May 12, 2014 3:53 am

Hi

My keyboard and mouse keep freezing on my T60

Background:
I have just completely re-installed Windows XP from scratch.
I (eventually) managed to get System Update and Windows Update to run. But during the process I had to manually install various drivers from lenovo.com.
I got a message about Synaptic Touchpad being turned off due to some kind of conflict.
And then a short while later the entire keyboard and the mouse pointer both keep freezing. When this happens the only option is to hit the power off button!

- Any thoughts?

J

My recommendation is to reinstall the drivers since Windows doesn't like drivers installs during updates. Try reinstalling the drivers and tell us what you get after that.

There is no driver for the keyboard.

The hotkey utility may need to be installed to get the blue button to work.
