How to Install the PM Manager driver

#1 Post by warp4dennis » Mon Jun 23, 2014 9:16 am

I have managed to find two "PM Manager" drivers. Haven't been able to install either one. The oldest one, with a file name of gtku09ww.exe and a version number of 4.0.100.1124, goes through the motions but it has a bad habit of not telling you that the s/w wasn't installed.
The other one, with a file name of IN1CPI4WW1.exe and a version number of 4.0.100.1190, almost immediately says that it can't install but gives no reason.
I have found that this accessory has so many different names, that it difficult for me to determine what Driver it requires, or even where to go to find the Driver.
Since it doesn't install, is the Driver somehow dependent on some other s/w being installed before you try to install the PM Manager?

IN1CPI4WW1.exe is for IdeaPads, not ThinkPads. gtku09ww.exe is the file you want. What do you mean by " has a bad habit of not telling you that the s/w wasn't installed." and what makes you think the software didn't install if it doesn't tell you so?
Main: Latitude E6430
Working ThinkPads: IBM 5155, 755C, 755CX, 760ED, 380Z, 600E (x3), i1420, 570E, X20, T23, T30 x3, T43, Z61t, T60p
WIP: 701c (Broken OS), 600 (LCD), PS/2 L40SX (HDD), 570 (No lid), X31 (HDD, LCD), R51 (HDD), Z60t (HDD), X60 (HDD), T400 (LCD), T43p (?)
Dead: i1420 (Mobo, Keyboard)
