Replace the LCD. That's the only thing you can do.

Re: Screen problem on T60 2007-FUG SXGA+ (1400x1050)
Hi,
So I received a replacement LCD yesterday. It is Samsung LTN141P4-L02 .
My original LCD is from Toshiba (TMD).
After replacing the panel, the Samsung panel not showing picture. I see that the lamp in it works but no image displayed. Tried to reconnect the video cable and inverter but still the same.
Switching back to my TMD and everything works fine.
What do you think? The Samsung LCD is faulty?

Re: Screen problem on T60 2007-FUG SXGA+ (1400x1050)
It could be that the screen isn't a lenovo, does it have an FRU number on it?
You have to be careful buying screens by manufactures part numbers, if the seller reflashes them with lenovo firmware they will work, but I'd still prefer a lenovo screen.
Also beware of screens that have the fru numbers added, they may work but could be screens that have minor defects that are being passed off as genuine and since new screens haven't been available from regular channels, it can be difficult to find either NOS or a really nice used one.

This is original lenovo part with fru.
The screen is not new but should be working.
Now, I checked again and saw for a second images on it and this by hitting fn+ f7 several times.

Perhaps you can post a link to photos of the screen?
However, if it's not working then the only two causes that I can think of is it's defective, or it's not really a lenovo and remember that there are many screens sold online that have FRU numbers added and some look remarkably real.

When I play with the FN+ F7 key few times (function that turns off/on the screen) I see for a half second an image from the screen but then it gone. Checked more than 10 times that everything connected firmly and still same result.

Re: Screen problem on T60 2007-FUG SXGA+ (1400x1050)
Since the panel you've received was produced for quite a long time, it might have come from a T4x machine, where the EDID chip would be either missing altogether or blank. Such a screen would not display properly on a T6x machine, but the issue - presuming a blank EDID - is a fixable one.
Before you send it back, what is the FRU # ?

Re: Screen problem on T60 2007-FUG SXGA+ (1400x1050)
Yep, that sounds about right.
Is there an EDID chip on the back of the panel? It's a small rectangular chip, size of a cigarette filter or a bit smaller.

I don't think so.
Checked now and there is no any chip there.
