R60 to T60 hard drive swap
Can I use the hard drive from my old and broken r60 and place it into a used t60? Or will there be compatibility issues?

It should work just fine. A couple of drivers might have to be updated, but that's about it.

I thought so too. However, the unit will go to the windows screen, and then to the dreaded blue screen of death. It then resets, and the cycle continues. If I put the drive back into the r60, no issues.Any ideas???

Sure.
Go into BIOS>Configuration>SATA mode, change the current setting to the other option, press F10 to save and exit.
Any better?

Yes! Thanks so much. I had forgotten about switching over to compatibility mode.

Can I simply swap out my T5500 CPU in my 1953CTO T60 with a T5600? Or my T2400 core duo in my 2623D6U T60?
