Upgrading internal WiFi card

Hey guys, I'm in the process of doing tweaks and such here and there to keep the old college T61p going strong (I mean, 7 years isn't THAT old... right?). So far my mods have been minimal:

4GB of RAM
SSD
Middleton Bios to boost SSD speeds
And.... that's about it.

My next task is to see about updating the wheezy 802.11G WiFi card to something more shiny, like N or preferably AC. I'm under the impression that the Middleton BIOS removes the whitelist, so I should be able to plug in a new WiFi card and have it work... but all the modern internal cards seem to be smaller than what came in this relic. Anyone know if the antenna leads will stretch to a half-height card, or do I need to mod them?

My targeted card:

Here is how you fix the length

Normally with a little massage the cables will reach.
