T60p UXGA screen resolution in games
T60p UXGA screen resolution in games
Hello,
I'm not a game-maniac (since a job/wife/and a couple of kids does not combo well with gaming), but I wanted to start a couple of older titles - Football Manager 2007, Airline Tycoon and similar.
The problem is, as I turn on these games which are all 1024x768 or less resolution, instead of stretched image I get a framed one. Now since I've got no options in both catalyst control center and windows I have abso-diablo-lutely no idea how to make it work.
I've got a nice T60p bought here on the forum with V5200 (X1600 drivers installed).
I'd be grateful for any help.
EDIT:
I have a 10.2 Catalyst; also there actually IS a "scaling" option under "Basic Settings", but it is not being saved after reboot.

Go into BIOS and look for an option called "HV Expansion".

Re: T60p UXGA screen resolution in games
consider yourself lucky, framed is way better! Stretching is pretty nasty.
Alternatively buy a 1024x768 T60 native screen and install it. Done. Native resolution without artifacts.

So, after you change it - it works (image stretches to the full screen), but the problem is that a reboot resets it? Is that the issue?wujstefan wrote:I have a 10.2 Catalyst; also there actually IS a "scaling" option under "Basic Settings", but it is not being saved after reboot.

Running a 800x600 application on 1600x1200 screen looks awesome.
And 1024x768pix LCD in 15" T60 is just killing the main reason why to run this laptop - awesome screen

Re: T60p UXGA screen resolution in games
dr_st: I have such option only in basic settings, and after several tests I've found out that it resets not after reboot, but after few minutes.

Re: T60p UXGA screen resolution in games
Since there is no answer and I still have just the same problem, i'll try to revive the topic.
I was trying a gazilion of different drivers, reinstalled the system 20+ times and still see no solution. Come on, there is plenty of users having their T60p's and with WIN7 on board; I cant believe that I'm the only one with such problem.
