T60p UXGA screen resolution in games

Hello,
I'm not a game-maniac (since a job/wife/and a couple of kids does not combo well with gaming), but I wanted to start a couple of older titles - Football Manager 2007, Airline Tycoon and similar.
The problem is, as I turn on these games which are all 1024x768 or less resolution, instead of stretched image I get a framed one. Now since I've got no options in both catalyst control center and windows I have abso-diablo-lutely no idea how to make it work.
I've got a nice T60p bought here on the forum with V5200 (X1600 drivers installed).
I'd be grateful for any help.
EDIT:
I have a 10.2 Catalyst; also there actually IS a "scaling" option under "Basic Settings", but it is not being saved after reboot.
