T60p fan not spinning faster at high temperatures

I have noticed something rather strange about my T60p this last week. I have noticed no matter how high the temperatues rise, the fan speed will not increase to cool the computer down. I was playing a intensive 3D game yesterday and the temps skyrocketed to 95C CPU, 105C GPU and core temps were 85 - 90 C whilst the fan speed seemed to be stuck at 2000 RPM. My temperature monitor is Gkrellm coupled with LM-Sensors (GUI) btw. My OS is Debian Testing 32bit. I find this very strange that it seems to refuse to raise the fan speed at high temperatures.

Does anyone have some advice on how to resolve this issue or troubleshoot it?

Thanks!

Sounds to me like your Linux program is the sinner here.
Uninstall/disable it, play that game again, the fan should now shoot up to somewhere between 4-5000rpm once it heats up.
If not, then you may have a faulty fan.
Can't think of any other reason.

Problem fixed! The problem was the GUI frontend for the fan controller not communicating properly with the backend daemon. I ran the command to jack the speed up to full boar. The temps have plummeted to 70 C for CPU and 80 C for GPU while playing the game. Idle temps are now 50 C CPU, 60-65 GPU and 50 - 55 Core 1 & 2...
