Hello! :D

I have a laptop T61 with 4965AG in stock. 3 wi-fi antennas
A week ago i bought on Ebay Intel 4965AGN. N band is required for me.

I install 4965AGN. Drivers Intel PROSet 15.8.0. Windows XP 32bit SP3.
All OK, but in ThinkVantage access connections(ver.6.1) i don't see my wi-fi card. Only bluetooth card. :o :o

In device manager my card is, and it work. 3.6 mb/s :thumbs-UP: at first time... :D

But the story doesn't end here. After an hour of using the connection lost. Ping not goes, but connetction is ok. I connect to another wi-fi, but the situation is reapeted. The Intel Proset says me that the wi-fi connected, but the laptop can not connect even to router home page. And to any intenet site ping not goes. I don't understand how it will be. Connection is, but ping is not.
I switch off wi-fi card at front of laptop, but it is not solve the problem. Windows reboot help me.

Can you help me with my problem?

Get another wifi-card, yours is possibly faulty (and just as old as the machine itself)
Good alternatives: Intel 5100N/5300N/6200N/6300N series (5300N/6300N need 3 antennas, the others 2)

In any case: install Middleton's BIOS, which lets you install ANY wifi card, whether IBM/Lenovo approved or not
