Re: IBM t60p display issue
The only thing you can do is replace the LCD, it is beyond repair.
You'll need another 14.1" SXGA+ (1400x1050) LCD, one of these:
Samsung 13N7059
BOE-Hydis 13N7061
TMD 13N7063

Are you certain it's the LCD and not the GPU?

Re: IBM t60p display issue
My guess would be GPU is well, so a new motherboard is in order.

Re: IBM t60p display issue
I checked with external LCD display and it gets the same visual effect. So it means motherboard needs to be replaced?

Re: IBM t60p display issue
The prices andavailability of boards in Poland are very discouraging :/ what do You think about buying that t61 one and add rest from my t60p? Will it fit properly? http://allegro.pl/plyta-ibm-t61-14-1tft ... ml#thumb/1

Re: IBM t60p display issue
That's a 14.1" widescreen T61, its motherboard does NOT fit in a T60/p.
And I agree with the others, that you have indeed a GPU problem.

Re: IBM t60p display issue
I thought that 14.1 all are non widescreen. How do U check this?
Anyway If i do find non widescreen its possible to swap them right?

Re: IBM t60p display issue
The 14.1" T61/p standard 4:3 machine labels all start with TYPE 8xxx, any 6xxx or 7xxx T61/p is a widescreen.
But I don't know now if such a standard T61 mobo fits in a standard 14.1" T60/p, never done it.

Re: IBM t60p display issue
Yeah, it should fit. Possibly with some or all of the same minor modifications that are required to fit in a 15" T60 chassis.

Re: IBM t60p display issue
That looks like a Video RAM issue. I doubt it is the GPU itself, as in the BIOS it is in a very simple text-only mode dating back to the 1980s in implementation, so the RAM used for the buffer is the most likely culprit. You may be able to reflow this one.
