Which FRU LCD display for T61p (6458-F55)?

I stupidly managed to break my screen on my venerable T61p. I checked the hardware maintenance manual (http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... 546_04.pdf, p.157) and there are three FRUs listed: 42X4641 (Samsung), 42T0417 and 42T0423 (LG).

(1) are they interchangeable, or do I have to disassemble the monitor (which I will have to do anyway) and check?

(2) I assume that the -F55 suffix means that I have a CTO model (it does not appear anywhere in the HMM). Anything extra I should be worried about?

Screens seem to be around $30 on ebay, and I'm OK with spending a couple of hours replacing it. I looked at the current 15'' laptops from Lenovo (and others), and I really don't want any of them. As if it weren't bad enough that they've been using 16:9 TN screens the last few years, now they've destroyed one of the remaining feature that would get me to buy a Thinkpad: the keyboard (and don't get me started on the STUPIDITY of putting a numeric keypad on a laptop keyboard). I really don't want to go Apple.

They are interchangeable.

Personally, I like the new keyboard, but that's me and you're not going to get 16:10 outside of Apple, so you'd better get used to it.

That they are, but LG is a much better panel in all respects.
