65W AC for a T61p 6457?

Just got a T61p 6457 from Ebay, and it came with a 65W AC adapter. Shouldn't that be a 90W? I've heard if there isn't "enough power" it will run, but the CPU will be at a slower speed.

Correct, use ONLY the 90W charger with any discrete graphics machines (T60/T61/R60/R61 series and similar).

What about the nvidia in that model? It says TYPE 6457-5KU S/N L3-Y0447 08/05 Is this a healthy Nvida, or does it have that "defect?"

Only models manufactured 08/08 or later are defect free. You may be affected. See some of the recent threads in the T6x subforum for details...

If I recall, the problem may or may not appear, YMMV. Good, they have drugs to keep anxiety and blood pressure down. But I'm totally amazed by the 1920X1200 res LCD screen. Does anyone know off the top of their head what the (Samsung?) part number is for that? LTN154U2-L05? I'm seeing some in searches, but they're not giving me the actual resolution. BTW, is this the famed "Frankenpad" LCD screen?

If you like those 1920x1200 screens, stay away from Samsung, go for LG Philips instead.
Neither of those has IPS and they all have 'only' CCFL.
Frankies have IPS 1600x1200 4:3 non-widescreen LCDs, with either CCFL or LED.

So the Samsung 1920X1200 is not bright and may be of "poor quality," as I'm reading through the posts?

Yes.
