Hi. My T60 was really going on strong after eight years and I want to continue to use it. I need to replace the motherboard though and need guidance or referral to buy a motherboard compatible with the 2623-KFU model (with ATI graphics and 1400x1050 resolution).

In reality, I have already had the motherboard replaced once, and while my current one still works, the IT guy who replaced it didn't originally buy a motherboard with graphics... this was three years back.

Unfortunately, I am really facing the not so optimal user experience of having a low resolution. All other experience is really good.

Any motherboard from a 14" or 15" standard T60/p - but not from the widescreen 15.4" models - will work just fine and drive that 1400x1050 screen. This holds true for both Intel and ATi-based boards.

I'd suggest posting a WTB (want to buy) ad in the forum's Marketplace and am certain that someone will come to the rescue.

Where can I check the original motherboard model for the 2623-KFU model? In addition to posting a WTB, I found the below two links. Can someone confirm whether I'd be OK buying any of those.

Login and click on "MTM" at top of page - then type "2623-KFU" in search box

The original factory spec for a T60 2623-KFU:

MB FRU's for T60 (4:3) 128MB ATI Radeon X1400 are: 41W1368, 41W1456, 42T0122, 44C3708 - there may be a few more too
