ThinkPad T60 IBM Infrared Driver Issue WIN 10

Hi, in device manager there is a yellow icon on the Infrared device; In the device description it says that Windows can't load needed drivers and so the device doesn't work in the right way.

What can I do to solve this issue? Waiting your answers, thank you in advance.

sadly there doesn't seem to be a solution, using the search function you will see the other recent threads discussing this very issue. Just seems the hardware is too old for driver support that works in 10.

If you aren't using infrared you could just disable it in BIOS to get rid of the question mark.

You may want to wait a few more months for Windows 10 on these legacy machines. I put Windows 10 on a T61 and everything worked smoothly. I since removed Windows 10 from the T61 because I needed the SSD for another T61. It will probably take a few more months to iron out the kinks into the upgrade system with regard to drivers.

I guess you could mark it "Hidden" in BIOS if you want to get rid of the yellow question mark.

You could try installing drivers for 7.

You could hack ini or install in compatibility mode or extract and install through device manager.

I found only XP Drivers. Do you know where could I find the 7 ones?
