T60p, trackpoint not working for Firefox only

I just got a T60p working on Windows XP. Yeah, it's old school but hey, it's the T6x series.

I've been having a weird issue where the trackpoint scrolling functionality isn't working when I am using Firefox. It works flawlessly in IE8, windows explorer, and other applications. I've already updated Synaptics to latest driver. Is this a common problem?

It's not as smooth as other programs and the scrolling icon doesn't activate. But horizontal, vertical scroll is working reliably.
