T601p upgrade; need some help

Hello everyone,
I'm just getting to start a mod on T601p
I've got a beautiful UXGA already and T61 08/08 MOBO mounted inside T60p 15" case.
Upgraded BIOS so it's now Penryn-friendly.
I've heard about 800MHz -> 1066MHz FSB upgrade in this model so it could run a 25W TDP Penryn CPU's. Is it a big hit compared to - let's say - T9300 CPU?
I don't think the mod is very difficult, but would like to know your opinion about such upgrade.
Also, would it help getting the system work with CAD software? For now I must stick with a 4Gigs of RAM (since it's heckuva expensive), and a nva140m - which is not that much up to date
EDIT: One more thing - I've got an option to get a nice T61p MOBO with fx570m (256mb) in a reasonable price - all the typical mods for T61 also working for T61p?
