Just not the way I wanted it to. I loaned my heavily upgraded T61 to my mother for awhile and received a call that she spilled a can of soda into it. She spilled it into the trackpad then it rolled into the keyboard. It won't turn on obviously. I went and picked it up and pulled it apart to find the keyboard and trackpad still wet but the inside of the machine doesn't look like it was wet or even smell like soda. I'm now curious if it survived and I just need a new keyboard trackpad. There was dust right under the spill site and it wasn't even touched. I hope it survived. I love this machine.

Man I hate when things like that happen, and it was a relative that did it.

Cleaned it all up. Put it all together and it doesn't boot to the OS but bluescreens at startup. Ran hardware tests and it passed everything and let it run for hours and it's not shuting down. So curious if reinstalling Windows will fix it. We'll see glad to see it runs though.

A very quick and non-destructive test is to boot the computer with a Linux Live DVD (or USB-stick).
Another non-destructive test, but slower, is to insert an empty HDD and do a new install of Windows.

Some bluescreens issues can be repaired by using the repair-option of the Windows installation disk, or use a tool CD from a third party.

Press F8 before the Windows logo appears, then select "Disable restart on error" or similar.
Doing so will disable automatic restart, so you can take note of the BSOD error message, which might give you a clue as to the cause of the problem.
