T61 nvs140m kernell problem

Hello,
I recently got a very specific NOS board - it seems to be missing eeprom since BIOS' serial number is blank, and UUID is "zeroed". After making a clean install I've got a constant Kernell problems with recent drivers. Since no system updates available (due to non-recognized system) I've installed all the drivers, including nvidia from nvidia website.
The graphics chip behaves sloppy (very sloppy in fact), and I constantly get the kernell failure information window. It's WIN 7 PRO 64bit. Does it have anything with the missing eeprom information, or is it just drivers? If so, what drivers do you use and find stable & fast?

On a brand-new motherboard, the UUID and serial number are always zero, and it was up to the IBM/Lenovo tech to fill it out using the Hardware Maintenance Diskette (which cannot be linked to due to forum rules)
Is your NOS motherboard broken/defective somehow? What is the date on the nVidia GPU, and the FRU of the board itself? (should be 08/08 or later to be safe; the corrected nVidia motherboards had a different FRU number from the defective ones)
Edit: the faulted T61 motherboards appear to be 41W1489/42W7867 (14.1" Wide), 42W7649/42W7873 (14.1" Standard), 42W7652/42W7876 (15.4" Wide); the boards with corrected nVidia are 43Y9044/44C3933 (14.1 Wide), 43Y9045/44C3924 (14.1 Standard), and 43Y9047/44C3928 (15.4" Wide)

No it's a safe unit.
I believe it's driver issue, but also have no clue why would latest nvidia driver cripple the system.
As for the UUID thanks, I've got quite a help from forum members to set it properly. Will try later in the day.

Oh, as for the driver, I used the nVidia driver from Windows Update on my 6460-DWU on both Windows 7 and 8.1 with no issues; maybe if you try the version from there it will probably work

I've always used the drivers from the nVidia site, never an issue.

Weird. I've installed nVidia drivers on another unit, same problem.

Interesting. Try the older version of the same driver and see whether it changes anything.
Apart from that, I'm out of ideas since I've never ran into that particular problem.
Good luck.

OK, found it.
It was actually not nVidia, but DirectX problem. After reinstall everything seems fine now.
