Display problem

Just today I started to have a "yellow" verical line from top to bottom on my display screen.
It appears even before I choose my startup OS. Oddly I can't get a screenshot of it. Oh I can get the picture, but it doesn't show the line.
Anyone know how to fix it? Is it the display screen itself? Software? Driver?
I did snap a pic using my iPad but don't know how to attach it here.

I have a blue vertical line on the right side of my screen.
I found that tapping on the back of the lid sometimes removed it.
And pushing on the front of the lid bezel brought it back.
As of this month it's been there permanently.
If it's showing up even out of the OS / at the BIOS level, it's a problem with the screen.

A couple vertical lines could indicate a loose display connector. Try reseating both ends.
If that doesn't solve it, you probably have a bad screen

Most likely the panel itself developed a defect - I'm in possession of ID Tech IPS UXGA LCD that developed nearly identical problem - and there's really no solution to it other than replacing the screen.
Having said that, quite a few people are able to comfortably live with such imperfections. I'm not one of them, but if you are more power to you.
Good luck.
