T61 display showing 'a only

Hi. Got a problem with my T61 display. On startup it displays only 'a all over the screen in black and white. What could the problem be? Anyone?

Loose LCD-cable, bad LCD, bad GPU, to mention but a few...
What are the 7-character TYPE and PRODUCTID from the bottom-label?
And what is the DATE after the S/N (it's written as YY/MM)

Ouch, the 07/11 (2007 / November) date literally was a dead giveaway.
I'm afraid your (infamous) nVidia GPU is on the way out. Not fixable, unfortunately.
Start looking for a new motherboard, or rather, start looking for a newer laptop.
