Can the T60 use WUXGA panels?

I took a look at the T60 LCD thread but there wasn't any mention of WUXGA panels from the T61s.
Would this work? A 1080p resolution on the T60 would be nice.
Thanks! and sorry if this question has been asked before

Nope, wrong form factor. They can use either UXGA or QXGA panels.
Model numbers are LTN150U1 AND IAQX10 respectively
Edit: woops forgot about the 16:10 models. As long as its 16:10 15.4" it should work. Remember, my listed LCDs are IPS and your WUXGA lcd is TN.

There is a 15.4" T60 and T60p. The only "advantage" it has over later T61 and T500 is an aesthetically pleasing centered display. The lid back is one piece of painted magnesium, like older T-series and the X-series, as opposed to the plastic over magnesium skeleton of T61 and T500. Supposedly the T61 and T500 get better wireless reception because they are less surrounded by metal.
You can surely install a WUXGA in a 15.4" T60. At the same time as the 15.4" T60's release there was a Lenovo Z61p with WUXGA.
However except for the aforementioned aesthetically pleasing lid, the 15.4" T60 is completely superseded by the 15.4" T61, T500, and W500. If you want 15.4" you should get one of the latter two for the following advantages: SD card reader, Turbo memory, Displayport, cheap DDR3, 8GB Max, SATA 2, and HD video decoding. They are still web capable today. The 3GB ram limit on a T60 limits it if you run many memory heavy programs and 8GB of DDR2 is twice as expensive as 8GB DDR3, so maxing a T61 seems unnecessarily costly, but you can do that if you really want. There are quad core and other CPU mods for T61 however so if you have the cash and love modding making a super T61 or Frankenpad has its appeal.

There are awesome WUXGA panels (1920x1200) around:
Sharp LQ154M1LW2A or LQ154M1LW02 (they are CCFL).
Those are/were used in several DELL laptops, they look like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/141847273124
You'll notice the two metal brackets on top, and the inverter below that panel.
Those need to be cut off (the upper two "shortened" to ca. 3mm is OK) without twisting the metal edge around the screen.
After that, it's a drop-in replacement in any 15.4" T60/T61/R60/R61/T500/R500 and possibly other 16:10 machines with CCFL.
You can reuse the Lenovo inverters.

Alright thanks everyone! I'll take a look at the panels as well as a ThinkPad T61
Would a 1080p panel stress out the Radeon x1400? Or would the performance be alright?

The T60/T61 15.4" are 16:10 widescreens.
They are available in a.o. 1280×800, 1680×1050, 1920×1200
They can all run on Intel, ATI X1300/X1400/V5200 and nVidia NVS140M/FX570M
The 15.6" 16:9 widescreens have a.o. 1366×768, 1600×900, 1920×1080.
So the answer is NO, 1080p won't fit in a T60/T61, wrong screen size.

Thanks, I have a 15.4 Radeon x1400 so I guess I’ll go for a 1920x1200.
Do you know any good place I should buy from? Ebay is a bit dry with WUXGA parts , or at least it seems so
I found a Lenovo W500 screen(LTN154U2-L05 FRU# 42T0574) would this work?

I would avoid the OEM Samsung WUXGA used in W500 because they are notoriously dim. The OEM LG is slightly brighter and has better colors but is still a bit dim.
This HP Probook 8530w LG Philips LP154WU1 TL C2 looks like a steal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-Laptop-LCD-L ... 1943860956 But its brightness and contrast ratio specs are unknown. -- Retracted. I cannot confirm if it would work in a Thinkpad. You should follow RBS's ebay link for those SHARP screens. They are bright and very vibrant.
I am right now running the LG Philips LP154WU1 TL C1 Matte from a Dell Alienware Area 51 M15X. It is a tiny amount brighter than the OEM LG Philips LP154WU1 TL B1 used in T61p and W500 and has a higher contrast rating, but the colors actually seem a little less vibrant. There are two mounting tabs at the top that need to be removed, grinding them down works.
