#1 Post by Bready_To.Toast » Thu Oct 12, 2017 6:34 pm

My Thinkpad has a locked motherboard and im thinking instead of getting a new T60 mobo with a Core duo im thinking of taking a mobo from a T61 that will fit, i know the mobos with the FRU 41W1489 has the whole nvidia issue with the deteriorating chips im wondering what motherboards are compatible with the 14 inch TPYE 1951-43U thinkpad

Contact TuuS. He has the motherboards that you are looking for. The 14" and 15" 4:3 units all use the same motherboards.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

TuuS is away for a month to recover from a serious operation.
He only checks PM every once in a while during that time, so patience please!

The 42W7872 is a Penryn capable mobo with integrated Intel graphics. Nothing against it.
But you can read all about the best FrankenPad mobo on my website: http://theboardroom.info/t61motherboard.html

Bready.

I have a spare 44C3924 planar if you require one. I ordered 2 or 3 from Tuus awhile ago for builds, and I have one left over.

Dated 2012-04-20, safe nVidia date. Still sealed in the box.

Can sell it for what I paid, I think it was $129 + shipping.

PM if interested.

Regards. Dave
