T61f - not charging battery

#1 Post by Lister » Thu Nov 23, 2017 8:51 am

Hello everyone,
please, give me an advice. My Frankie stopped charging the batteries. I tried to change the power supply, give other batteries. I tried to replace HDD with Win 7, for HDD with original Win XP from Lenovo. Without change. Power Manager displays information about battery, indicating charging, but that's all. I tested the battery in a different laptop and there was a good charge. Thanks.

P.S. Please excuse my English

Most likely a damaged charging circuit, probably a blown fuse on the motherboard. These can be tested if you have a multimeter, somewhat of a pain to replace, most people just solder a new fuse over the old one "piggy back" style.

Good luck.
