18.) T61 bottom base cover assembly for 7663

The T61 14.1" has a cracked back shell and planning to buy a good back shell from ebay...
Why there are so many different FRU codes for pos.18 bottom base shell cover assemblies ? ( There are like 30 different shell codes )
Don't all T61 14.1" have the same back plastic shell ?
Must I buy the 7663 back shell or can I buy 7661 or 7665 back shell ?

From your T61 widescreen PDF:
Any Base cover assembly for 6xxx is meant for R61
Any Base cover assembly for 7xxx is meant for T61.

[On eBay] you need to find the label on the bottom and check the TYPE on the MTM link above.
If they show a screen with 14.1in. 1280x800 or 14.1in. 1440x900 you're good.

These say 42W_ _ _ _ _ Type 7661 / 7665 will these work ?
Why these two have small differences in sheet metal cuttings and such ?

- I noticed PCMCIA doors are different is the PCMCIA door molded to bottom plate or can I use the PCMCIA door from my own laptop ? ( Door removal and insertion possible ? )
( There are 3 different PCMCIA doors in T61 )

Either one will be fine.
The PCMCIA doors can be swapped between all models.

One lucky newer Lenovo that avoided the trashbin

I ordered a screwkit from China ebay for T61. I'm going through careful and full restoration on this. ( Missing screws and some screws are in wrong places and such. )
Hopefully all screws are in the China kit.
