I would like your recommendations along with current sourcing/URL links to purchase the "best" battery for a T61p 15.4"
As a second request, I would also like your recommendations along with current sourcing/URL links to purchase the "second best" (i.e., better pricing but still good quality) battery for a T61p 15.4"
I know this post duplicates many others, but hopefully the responses will be more current.
Thank you all in advance.

Re: Best Battery for a T61p 15.4" ?
Look for a T500 9 cell Panasonic 41++ FRU: 42T4620 or 6 cell Pansonic 41+ FRU: 42T4622.
Mind you these laptops especially the 15.4" ones with their high resolution power hungry CCFL screens and DGPUs will not get good battery life even with a 9 cell, although I suspect with an LED backlight mod !! much of that would be alleviated. My T500 gets maybe an hour and a half of continuous runtime on my 20% worn 9 cell, with the screen being the largest culprit I believe.

RealBlackStuff: Thank you for your help. You said this in the X60/X61 subforum:

My X201 has a 9-cell 42T4696, made by Panasonic.
Mfg date: 2010-06-22
First use: 2010-11
Cycles: 279
Design : 84.24Wh
Current: 84.33Wh, that is MORE than original design, after almost 7 years of use!"
I simply cannot find where to buy Panasonic batteries for Thinkpads.
Do you have any sourcing suggestions?
