DVD + or - RW for dvd burner

I have a dvd multi burner. Can it burn dvd - RW discs?

I know that it can burn DVD+RW discs and my dvd player can play them, just not sure if it can burn DVD-RW.

The specs of the burner should give the definitive answer, but it's very rare to find a burner that can burn DVD+ but no DVD- (the other way around was more common at one time).

Since you are posting your question here, in the T6x-subforum, I assume that you are hence making implicit reference to a burner in a T6x ThinkPad.
