T61 UXGA LCDs
I am looking for some UXGA LCDs for my T601 frakenpad, as QXGA seems a bit hard and expensive. There are plenty of 15" UXGA LCDs on eBay for cheap, but I know those need EDID flashing. Can someone direct me towards the correct LCD, or an LCD that can be flashed?
I am also wondering if a 14" UXGA LCD exists

These were the stock options on T60p and work OOTB.
Yes, but it's not an IPS panel. I believe that it a Sharp screen used in a Dell laptop from PM era, but am not 100% certain.I am also wondering if a 14" UXGA LCD exists

For the best possible UXGA in a 15" T60/T601/R60/R61, see https://www.theboardroom.info/led_mods2.html
PS: No EDID flashing required on those!

However, the OP did state "cheap"...and that's not going to happen with this screen that both of us know and love...

Re: T61 UXGA LCDs
Well, this is not entirely true now it costs now $75-100, I have sourced 5 last month, new. These made me get back to the old good 4:3 series

That's pretty expensive. Might try to post on the forums here.

Re: T61 UXGA LCDs
Well not so long ago getting them under $250 was a challenge
Try Sharp screen w/ ASV. Not ips, not the best color reproduction but a decent screen overall (and cheap).

Re: T61 UXGA LCDs
At the moment I have an SXGA+ IPS display. If I can't find a UXGA panel, I might just replace the CCFL for now. Would any generic 1600x1200 TN panel work, assuming the EDID can be flashed?

Only if the pinout is matching, otherwise you'll blow a fuse on the board.TheForgottenKing wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 9:06 am. Would any generic 1600x1200 TN panel work, assuming the EDID can be flashed?

Re: T61 UXGA LCDs
Alright, going to stay with SXGA+ for now, until the rest is done. T9300/570m board on the way.
