I've been super happy with my T61 - upgreaded to SSD, 8GB RAM, and Middleton BIOS years ago and it's been running Windows 10 like a champ (except for some initial Win10 + video driver issues viewtopic.php?f=73&t=125318&p=811927#p811927 that eventually cleared up).
Working with newer Thinkpads at work, I noticed that the Vantage App seems to do a good job of keeping drivers up to date, and thought I'd give it a try on my T61. A few questions arise:
1. Is it possible the T61 is still compatible with the Vantage App?
2. Can I successfully avoid problems with Middleton by just never applying BIOS updates?
3. Has anyone safely done this already?
3. Attempting to load the Vantage App from teh Microsoft Store, it also requires an additional install "SystemInterfaceFoundation.exe", which sounds like it may be .NET, etc stuff, but I'm worried it may involve BIOS hooks that might not play well with Middleton.
Welcome any ideas!
Dan

I personally don't use the Vantage app and I don't think its compatible with windows 10, at least to my knowledge.
Just don't get any BIOS updates to keep your middleton BIOS as is.
Also, you have a T9300, you can use throttlestop to run dual IDA mode and lock it in at the 13.5 multi

Actually it is specifically made for Windows 10.
It works ok on my X61.
I assume that it is merely red Chinese spyware.
But, what is not?
