T60p Fingerprint Scanner Broken?

Hello, my T60p's fingerprint scanner has been acting very odd lately... Basically, it will only work sometimes and not other times... Does anyone know what could be wrong with it?

Your skin condition changes with the seasons. The fingerprint that worked when the temp was cooler and drier outside may not work when it gets hot and sticky outside.
Reload your fingerprints and you will probably be back in business.
I have to reload mine every winter and summer on the T500. The reader must be better on the T510 and T520 as I don't have that problem with them.

I tried reloading them, but now I can't get my ThinkPad to register any fingerprint scanner activity...

Try reloading the drivers, if that doesn't work you might have a bad component.

It turns out the fingerprint daughterboard was dead/dying.
