T60 batteries - battery guru help!

I bought 2 9-cell T60 batteries off of eBay for my 2 T60s. One was used and one was "Brand New". I looked and the seal was still intact on the 9 cell battery inside from 2006. Received them both and inserted them into the machines and I get a fast flashing amber battery icon. If I plug the battery in when the machine is on, it locks up the machine and I have to force a reboot.

I found the website about "jumpstarting" the T60 battery. I broke into both beautiful new batteries and no dice. Both still show the fast flashing amber light.

I really hope you guys can help me figure this out. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!

Unfortunately, there's nothing to figure out. These batteries are dead and can't be revived by methods available to most users.

I have measured the voltage on the cells at 10.7v so its like the controller board is not getting something it needs.

The chip has "decided" that the battery is unsafe to charge and won't allow it. This is a known behaviour in *6x series batteries. It is not fixable.
