T61 Bluetooth not recognized

Hi folks.
Getting absorbed by tinkering aorund wiht old T6x series stuff. My T60 bought in 2006 got stuck with a late win7 update (reboot about a minute after login) and I could not find the reason for this. It is waiting for the guts of T61....which I found just recently has Win10 Pro 32-bit installed.

I already had a T61 with defect NVIDIA GPU but with most other goodies (PCI Turbo, 4 GB RAM, BT, fast 4965AGN). So I decided to swap the displays. The recent find but no Bluetooth but the swapped display does so I expected to get this visible. But the Bluetooth is not recognized at all.

Any ideas on this?

How about the PCI WWAN card, is it useless?

Cheers,

The BT card may have come loose. Grab a copy of the T61 Hardware Maintenance Manual and look for the location of the BT card, open up the laptop and reseat the module.

If you're referring to the Turbo Memory card in the WWAN slot, yes it's useless, just remove it.

Hey,
Thanks for the tip, will try this.

I didn’t mean the PCI Turbo Card, I figured it is useles with SSDs. But I have a PCI WWAN Card installed in another T60 but device manager shows an error. I’m wondering if this works at all with Win10, perhaps with an older driver? If so I’d move it to the T61.

Cheers,

I have no experience with the WWAN card, sorry.
