Any recommendations for replacement screw sets for T-series? I need some mostly for some T61s but for anything for T30 thru T/W 530 would be useful.

Are any of those replacement screw sets on amazon any good? are there any to steer clear of? Thanks.

I do remember the HMMs always warning the service tech to Never re-use screws, but Always re-use them because I don't have any spares.

If I can safely re-use a cylinder head bolt on my 1968 DeVille I should be able to use a little 2mm wide laptop screw...

Altogether I Think that I have a few thousand Thinkpad screws of all different sizes.
They are stored in stackable plastic jars (as seen below):


I started collecting them from A2x/T2x series onward.
As the years are creeping up on me, my days of active Thinkpad repair/maintenance are over.
If the price is right (and I'm thinking of Euro 50), I might be willing to sell them as a lot.
I just put them on a scale, their combined weight is ~1120 grams = ~2.5 Lbs.
Shipping costs to USA for that weight would also be Euro 50/ US$ 59.
(Condition is that you take care of DeathSantis).

I almost want your collection for myself to assist me with some up-keeping of *20/*30 and potentially some T60 laptops
But then it would probably be selfish to hoard so much for one person who mostly keeps his stuff on the shelf

Ideally we'd probably divide your stash between continents and have some responsible custodians send them out in small envelopes at postage cost or slightly above to forum members in need!
I have some temptation to take over UK part of the operation.. Of course I'd pay some price for hardware and postage.. But I'm still undecided

I think you get screwed in Florida.

So what, it's death's that really matter and NY NJ MI MA etc, ALL have it WORSE. My wife and I both had it in Jan, I've had head colds that were worse. She never even got a 1 deg fever.
