Lenovo T61 BIOS

#1 Post by quad121 » Mon May 30, 2022 7:57 am

Good Afternoon to you all and thank you for accepting me into your fantastic forum!

I appologise if this question has already been asked.

I have a Lenovo T61, which i am looking to update the HDD to a SSD. I have 4 gb installed and am running BIOS 2.5.18.

I tried to install the 'Middleton's BIOS' but unless im missing something after performing the update using the 'Winuptp.exe' as Admin and allowing it to go through the flash and re-booting the splash screen still shows the BIOS as 2.5.18?

I'm using Win 7 32bit

Any advice i would greatfully appreciate

Try using the ISO and boot to CD to flash the Middleton BIOS. I don't recall ever trying to flash it from Windows; it's always worked from the bootable CD though (assuming you have a working battery).
