Did my wifi PCI port died?

#1 Post by Gonzaleitor » Fri Jan 27, 2023 7:26 pm

I was browsing the web the other day and suddenly my wifi got disconnected. The adapter is not showing in device manager and the wifi light is off... Any suggestions? Did the PCI Express port died? What do you think I should do?

Either the mini PCIe slot died, or the card itself died. The best way to test is to try another WiFi card. Do note that most Thinkpads have a WiFi card whitelist, so it's best to replace it with a card that came from the same model, or at least the same generation (as they're usually equipped with the same WiFi cards).
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch
Impulse Buy: Thinkpad not named for safety reasons
