T60 Models

#1 Post by JWadle » Mon Jan 09, 2006 6:02 pm

Anyone have a list of T60 models? I've seen a range of features but no associated model numbers except the one on the Lenovo web site.
ThinkPad T43p 2668-G2U, PM 770 2.13GHz, 2GB RAM, 120GB HDD, ATI 1400x1050

Check ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitute/psref/ for the release of the next tabook.pdf (the current one is dated 13-Dec-05).

It's out: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitu ... tabook.pdf

There's only one page dedicated to the T60, and only one model listed on that page (1951-44U).

Historically, how long does it generally take for them to release models with high resolution [UXGA]? This is not my only concern.

Just check the availability date (listed for every single model) in tabook.pdf and tawbook.pdf. That should provide the information you want.

I checked the tabook.pdf and there is no reference to 1600 x1200 UXGA. What is the tawbook?

tawbook.pdf and tabook.pdf tell you that the first T40 was introduced in March 2003 and the first T4x (first T, for that matter) with an UXGA display was introduced in May 2004, ie. 14 months later.
If history repeats itself (though I don't see why it should, in this case), we will see a T62p with an UXGA display in April 2007.

That would be the death of me! I just returned a T42 purchased on 1/3 in anticipation of the latest production of the T series.
