OK, New T and X finally comes out, they both look very good to me in term of spec and design ...
BUT still need some advices from expert out there.
- Which one should I buy, T60 or X60?
- Should I wait for newer version? Cause the first one always has problem

I currently using T43p, but you know, always like new toy, just for enjoying, nothing is heavy like you guy out there.

Please advice, I am thinking about X60 tablet also, this one is cool, but wonder if it comes out.

You should wait for a new version. For a very long time.

I would wait until at least the end of 2006 then take a look at the T6X Series and X6X Series and see what stirkes your fancy.

I would wait for merom being launched. No point in upgrading to yonah if its vista compability youre after. I would be surprised if vista wont focus around 64bit compability and yonah isnt 64 bit.

Right now is an excellent time to buy a new notebook computer. All companies are coming out with new models following Intel's release of the new chip-set. It will take about 18 months before this happens again. So if you buy now, your computer will be current for a "long" time.

Yes, the CPUs life cycle is shorter, but what drives new laptop models is the release of the chip-sets. They have a life-cycle of about 18 months. Not so much because Intel can't move faster, but because the computer companies insist on this slower pace.

The T43p is a great machine so I wouldn't be sure why you would want to upgrade so quickly - fair enough SATA drives are nice, dual core is even nicer and the graphic card options are interesting but if your not doing anything heavy I can't see the point of an upgrade as none of these things would make much difference.

If you have money burning a hole in your pocket then go ahead and upgrade - if you like the T43p then the T60p would be the route to go. X60 is good if you really need an ultraportable but I don't think the T series are too heavy or big to lug around so I would always stick with T.

And for some of the other comments - I would never wait on any cpu or chipset - if you did then you would never actually buy a machine - there is always something newer and better coming out. My advice is to buy a machine when you think you need an upgrade, not just because there are new models out and buy the most suitable of what is available at the time.

Vista works fine on the t42s with higher-end graphics chips and on t43s.
