Good question. I think rather not. My T40p had accelerating fan noise (until I changed the fan myself), a brand new T43 still has it (and in addition it is running all the time), so why should the T60 be different. From an architecture point of view Dual Core needs 15 Percent more power (31 Watt compared to 27 Watt for Pentium M Dothan), so the need for cooling is even higher.

ive had several T40's , one T41p and now this T43p. the T41p was the only one of them that did not have any pulsing problem and overall was much quieter than the others. So at some point the T41 has been using some other hardware/software to control the fan.

The TA book has been updated too :)

I notice that the WWAN options are only for Verizon cards at present...is there any timeframe for when the GSM/Cingular ones might be available as an option?

Update: Looks like they are slated for beginning Q2 according to the press release http://cingular.mediaroom.com/index.php ... &item=1409[/b]
