2623-D4U is what I'm looking at! :D
Intel Centrino Mobile Technology
Microsoft Windows XP Professional
512 MB
80 GB
Intel® Core Duo processor T2300 1.66GHz
14.1"
1400x1050
64MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1300
4.68-5.11
UltraNav
Ultrabay Slim
CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo
None
Three years parts and labor (system battery: one year)
Integrated Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit Ethernet
56K V.92 designed modem
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG
Fingerprint Reader Client Security Solution
$1,749.00

:D

I think Lenovo messed up the pricing... there are T60s with lesser specifications going for more $. However, at the $1750 price point, the D4U is a pretty good buy.

The one u have posted is an express model with 3 yr warranty.

too bad the 128mb x1400 is going to installed in the high end systems like
2007-66U. that is a cool combo. But i dont need 1 gig and dont need dvd writer.

cant wait till they open up more models.

actually they are quite cheap these new t60s. i need a proper production model review. Eh what the heck I might get one, come 14th Feb.

So what's the deal with the 2007 models? The rep said that those will be more expensive and take longer to get. Yet, he told me I can't get the 2623-D6U until April.

Lenovo has a program called "Express". Some ThinkPad's (and ThinkCentre's) are listed as "Express" and have slightly different part numbers than similar systems. These "express" systems are aggressively priced and are usually in better supply. The "Normal" ThinkPad’s are more for large enterprise customer who is focused: on transition planning, stable image and world wide availability.

I called them on Jan 31. They said it would be available in 6 weeks. The model was 2623D6U. I changed the order to 2007 66U today and they said I would not wait longer than the 2623D6U and it would be available in 5 weeks.

Did they give you a price on the 2007 66U? When I called they said they only had pricing on models listed on the web site, not everything in the tabook.

Do they not have SXGA+ with GMA 950? The battery life looks pretty good on paper with GMA.

Yes. The original price was $2,589.00. I got a student discount. Mine was $2,071.20. It is on the website. I found it on the lenovo education website.
