Opinions wanted....

#1 Post by mj » Tue Feb 21, 2006 8:21 pm

I'm trying to choose between a few T60/T60p models. I'd love to hear your opinions on SXGA+ and UXGA. I was using SXGA+ at the highest resolution on my old A20. Way overdue for a replacement, and I'm trying to decide between these two T60/T60p models

2007-76u
2007-93u

The price difference is about 400 bucks, but you get UXGA and FireGL for the price. Is it worth it? I'm not a gamer.

Anyone know what these additions will do to your battery life? And is the computer still comfortable to hold on your lap with the larger battery?

BTW, all of our thinkpads at work have outlasted the dells by at least a year or two. these suckers are well made.

Not a gamer? Stick to T60, then.

UXGA over SXGA+ is not such a big increase. Definitely not as much as SXGA+ over XGA.

I'm running SXGA+ on my 15" Display and like it, but I had to increase font sizes to make it comfortable. I imagine that with UXGA I'd have to increase them even more.

yeah let's stick to T60.
since you are not an avid gamer.
SVGA will absolutely suit your taste.
believe me
1. T43 2668-B97 14" SXGA+ 1.5G RAM 9cells
2. X60s 1703-CA3 powerful
