Status changed to shipped just a few days after the two week extension:

wow! i just checked mine and it said it shipped also! but my leather case didn't ship..

Nice stats! That's less than 3 weeks and VERY
encouraging to the rest of us hoping to get ours
in under 3 weeks.

Yes.

It's express world wide shipping from UPS. By definition that means by 10:30AM the next day. If it didn't visit customs for 5-10 hours there basically wouldn't be any wait. One of my firends who bought an X40 said his was in customs for 7 days. They must have fixed that slow down since then.

I'm not sure but I think that is how they are shipping all the notebooks. They didn't charge me for shipping nor did they promise express shipping. It just said UPS ground. So it is all a marketing ploy. Seems they all go out express.

Yes, my 2623D4U just shipped on 3/25, and I ordered on 3/8. Another good news was that my leather case just got shipped on 3/26!
btw, I just checked that I got a Samsung display, NMB keyboard, and Panasonic battery.

My shipment must be a record: [Order Date] - [Ship Date] = 10 days. Right now (3/26) it is being scanned out of Hong Kong.

How did you manage to find the stats on your machine?

Was your leather case complimentary?

We need a thread that compare the different parts. I got a BOE-Hydis screen and I wonder what the difference is between that and the Samsung.

Yes, we got same FRU on the machines, so we all have the NMB keyboard, Samsung display, and Panasonic battery.

Folks,

I talked to a rep at Lenovo this morning.

He's seeing a few T60 models being shipped within 7-9 days.

He said the 4 week promise date is standard, but it is
certainly within possibility that these models will be shipped
out within a week or so.

Just talked to Lenovo, he is still seeing my T60p (purchased 2/22) shipping by mid-April. This is after they told me 1) they were going to be shipped this week 2) they were going to be shipped last week. When asked about the fact that others have already received their T60p's with the same config as mine one week ago, he said that that's odd, but didn't offer any suggestions. So I am still waiting, even though this thing has been on order for over 1 month already.

My ship date just went up by a day. Not sure if there's any
possibility of it coming any earlier now.

Arrived today 3/28/06. Setting up now.

My leather case was the $29 deal.

I made the custom order, the first est shipping date was 05/05, then it starts to increase one day each day. Now it's 05/15:(

Yeah, exactly the same - except I ordered mine on Feb. 22nd, and now the shipping date is 5/19 - has been slipping one or more days every day I check it.

It amazes me that someone would actually have to wait
this long for a notebook computer.

For the most part, these things are already pre-configured.
Oh, there may be some memory addage or a hard drive
upgrade, but certainly nothing to warrant such a huge wait
in ship time.

I sit here and watch my ship date go up ONE with every
passing day. Since I ordered my T60 4 days ago, the ship
time has already increased 3 days.

How accurate are these ship dates being indicated? Has anyone
suddenly gone from a 3-week window to a sudden indication of
product shipment?

Estimated shipping dates are unreliable. When I ordered, the estimated ship date was 2 weeks away. It actually shipped 2 days after ordering.

I ordered 2623DDU on 2/9th.
Estimated shipping Date 3/26th.
Shipped 3/24th.
Received 3/27th.

Just to let you all know what happened to me: ordered a 2623d7u back on march 3, about a week and a half ago the shipping date jumped from april 7 to may 7. Then i called to see what was going on and why it got moved back so much, and the rep said "yeah, I do have your ship date as being may 15." At this point, i was completely bewildered and frustrated, and i called back later to cancel the order. The lady on the phone was very nice and said it would be shipping mid april. Then it shipped two days later. Just goes to show you theres no rhyme or reason to the system.

There probably is; it is just that we are seeing very few data reponse points to make a really clear judgement on it. They are probably re-doing their shipping procedures; it happened with the Z Series. Also, we don't know what kind of a load/demand they are under whilst they are doing this.

I ordered a T60p 2623-DDU on 27th March, with a Est. Ship Date of 23rd April.

In just the past 3 days, the Est. Ship Date has slipped each day to 28th April

I ordered the T60 (2623D7U) on 3/24. Estimated ship date was 4/23.

The estimate dates kept going up. As of yesterday morning it
showed 4/25.

It shipped last night!

Total time from order to ship was 5 days.

Looks like you really can't depend on the order status page
for accurate ship dates.

Congrats, you will notice a difference between this notebook and past notebooks you used.

If the shipping estimate is unreliable, how do you find out that your T60 has actually shipped early? Is there an email sent out, or some other form of notification.

I ordered my T60 on the 28th of March, and the estimated delivery date is April 13th. Just wondering how reliable that is, as it has already been pushed back some.

I ordered a hot topic machine T60(200764U) today , great deal($2949--->$2099 !!)
14.1 inch SXGA+ IPS (1400x1050) TFT Display with wide viewing angle and high density display.
Expected shipping date is 4/19.
I can't wait for it to get here and to check it is true 14" IPS!

The status page gets updated saying shipped and you get an e-mail from Lenovo the same day. For me the status page changed to shipped first then a couple hours later I got the e-mail.
