as of Monday afternoon, June 18th, my order still shows it will be shipped tomorrow but I have a feeling once that date rolls around the ship date will move out to a much later date. I've asked numerous times if I can get an accurate date because the one on the status page is system generated and isn't accurate. Of course the response was it's scheduled to ship tomorrow. I mean come on...someone has to know the real deal...the real ship date.

Yesterday my ship date from the website was 6/25. Today it's 8/23. Is this the August glitch or is it real? I'm on hold for customer service, but can I trust what they say?
14" T61, no camera, no WWAN card.

Same thing happened to my Thinkpad. I called UPS and they said because it was an Express delivery, signature confirmation was mandatory. Fortunately, the delivery guy drove around my house later in the afternoon and I was able to sign for it. Funny thing that I selected ground shipping when I ordered.

What was different is that UPS delivered yours....mine was through DHL...

I ordered a T61, T7500, 14.1 in, Intel graphics with Vista Business on 4 June with an estimated ship date of 21 June. Last night I received an email with a new ship date of 28 August.
Too bad because I really wanted a Thinkpad (never owned one yet) but now I'll probably end up with a Dell XPS 1210 instead since they can ship it out next week.

Have an amaging ordering story and quick question for Table 61x owners
1st I ordered my Table 61x with the below specs on 6/20/2007 and just confirmation that the tablet has been shipped out to me today 6/22/2007. They gave me a date on their website of 8/7/2007. Amazing!
2nd I made a minor misteak and did not have time to correct it due to Lenovo's rapid shipment of the unit. I ordered the Cingular WANN option instead of the Verizon one. My quesiton is there a way I can change this once I recieve the unit or it is something that I will be stuck with? I is a big deal? Should I worry?
Also, whats the difference between 61x vs 61t series, Iam confused.

Only 2.5 days passed to build and ship after my order was placed. Is this some kind of record? What do I win?

I chose UPS Ground but they sent by UPS Express. Guess its coming from China so Ground wasn't really an option.
Details of my custom order are in my sig below. I'm quite surprised because the original ship date was August 20th and the website still says "call" for estimated ship date (no longer 2 or 3 weeks). Maybe the turnaround is so fast that they want you to call because the wait time is too short to post publicly? Haha

lol....yeah, me too. I canceled my order on Friday and ordered a T60 from the marketplace on here. Now, on a whim I decided to check my order and see that it shipped today....swell. Guess I'll be selling one of them.

GOOD NEWS GOOD NEWS...
Well at least I think it is.. I got a tracking number for all or some of my order.
The question is, if I have a serial number, is the laptop on its way or is it the extra stick of ram that I ordered? The weight suggests laptop and memory stick.
Secondly, how long does it take to get here from HK?

I can't see your tracking information but you said that the weight suggests both. Not sure how you can determine that your package has both inside simply by the weight considering that your SoDIMM will only weigh an ounce and the total weight displayed is rounded up. However, using deductive logic, we can conclude that if your package weighs several kg or more then it's not just a SoDIMM, it is either:
A.) your laptop
or
B.) your laptop and your extra SoDIMM

I chose UPS Ground but they sent by UPS Express. Delivery from Hong Kong to Memphis, TN requires one business day for delivery. View the
UPS Express tracking. Delivery may require an extra day for you considering that you're further from Lexington, KY than Memphis. So, tomorrow (Monday) for me, & the day after tomorrow (Tuesday) is my estimate for you.

Ordered my T61 on 6/25 and the estimated ship date is 7/26. That's four weeks of waiting time!!
